The Cosmic Story: Beltane, May 1st& Taurus New Moon, May 2-3, 2011
Wait till you look within yourself
and see what is there.
O seeker,
One leaf in that Garden
is worth more than all of Paradise!
Rumi
The Winds of Change are upon us! Are you ready? Strong winds have been blowing around the world, and now they are taking the Taurean "manifesting' energy and creating killer tornadoes that are sweeping through middle America. If the alchemical belief is true, as above, so below, these twirling columns of air might reflect the twirling thoughts of people all around the world as we begin to see the Truth behind the lies, the violence and the manipulations that have brought our Earth to the brink of environmental catastrophe.
It is time to seek the Garden within, so we might find our way into recreating it here on Earth.
Now that the Sun has moved into the sign of Taurus, we can begin to focus our intention on building something sustainable in the world. All that fiery, creative Aries energy is still being resonated by Uranus, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Mars, moving us forward into a new life (or overwhelming our old standpoint) but the Sun's move into Taurus now focuses those impulses through our attention to what we really desire and what we want to manifest. Remember, the new life isn't here yet -- but it's time to start building it.
Aries energy embodies the Life Force within each of us, the courage to go out and discover who we are, and the will to overcome any obstacles that try to stop us in our quest to discover our unique life. Aries goes out into the world, matching desire with action. This is why our beloved Aries sisters and brothers develop courage, because it takes courage to finally do what you want to do, especially in the face of other people's expectations. As I've been saying in earlier newsletters, with Uranus, the planet of awakening, in the sign of Aries, where we act to discover our identity, each of us is called to the Aries adventure. We each have to discover our bigger story, our mythic identity, our soul's contribution to creating a new world.
With Taurus,
the need to explore transforms into the need to settle down. Our Aries adventures have brought us to a
place here we decide, "Ah! This is
home." We stop and smell the flowers,
feel the breezes, taste the sparkling waters, touch the fertile, dark earth and
hear the silence of peace. With Taurus,
we come home to our most basic needs, the values that sustain us, the beauty of
the Earth and the security of knowing our place in the Cosmos. With Taurus, we remember we are embodied spirit: we are spirit having a human experience.
