We have no Tahrir square in this country, we are as dispersed as raindrops. Each in our own little world without a central downtown or a bronze statue of a tyrant. We live in a world of interstate highway exits and fast food joints, living with the fortunes of destiny with our pockets filled with despair.

Our minds are diffused and sieved by an electronic media which advertises fast food ideas, a foundry of falsities, fallacies and forecasts. Pusillanimous purveyors of pap and propaganda, pop goes the weasel, pop is the weasel. Fountains of the false, spraying the waters of fake, good guys, bad guys, cowboys, Indians, cops and robbers.

You can't see the poor on television, nor can you see them from the highway, they are invisible and are made to be invisible. It isolates them for the purpose of isolating you! You can't find a job and I can't find a job but what does the media say? You see, these aren't random lies or casual lies but lies of purpose. Media for the purpose of mis-education, misdirection, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Mass multitudes led by street preachers and the cleverly insane who call a man who tires to privatize health care, cut taxes for corporations and gut Social Security, a Socialist. Liberals are anyone who isn't a far right Conservative and the mainstream, is moderate extreme Conservatism. Palin, Pawlenty, Paul and the emeralds of dung, the cow-pies in our political pastures. They are media holograms projected upon the screen to set the agenda. That in and of itself is reason enough to disregard them, to put wax in our ears and to lash ourselves to the mast so as to avoid disaster on the rocks.

Look back over your shoulder now at how the public was manipulated in 2008. Barack Obama a liberal? Going to close Gauntonamo? Return our civil liberties? Going to help working families? Going to support card check? Remember how John McCain was going to be George W. Bush's third term? McCain was going to open the Gulf of Mexico and the Arctic to deep water oil drilling (drill baby drill)and build nuclear power plants as alternative energy. McCain was going to send one hundred thousand troops to Afghanistan, Obama sent a hundred and ten thousand troops plus sixty thousand contractors. Obama opened a new war front in Pakistan and increased drone aircraft attacks above Bush administration levels.

I don't know how the Nobel committee can sleep at night. If Guantonomo were operated by any other nation on earth it would be called what it is; a concentration camp. Drone aircraft attacks are by definition, in fact, terrorism. Nations which occupy other nations by military force are invaders. They aren't liberators or avenging angels they are conquerors. Any government which the invader might attempt to set up in those conquered nations are illegitimate. No more the rightful government than the Vichy French or Vidkun Quisling's Norway. Elections held by the occupiers? Elections which ratify and codify the wants and desires of the occupiers?

Who tells you these things? Who do they work for? We witnessed the fall of Hosni Mubarak and celebrate the victory of democracy as he is replaced by America's go to guy for rendition and torture in Egypt. Close the door and the light...stays on! Back room engineering to appease the mob and to reward the viewing audience with a happy ever after ending.

Look at AOL's purchase of the Huffington Post, was it to expand AOL's balance sheet? Or was it because AOL thought that they could do a better job of running the place? It was about Capitalism and Capitalism's sole purpose is to make money. Why didn't AOL with their deep pockets and expertise build their own web site? Capitalism buys to either make their own or to eliminate from competition its rivals. AOL will maximize the advertising while minimizing the product until it is just another organ of the loyal opposition, the phony left, the phony center, the phony phony. The Huffington Post had been moving towards the imaginary center for quite a while. A baited hook for the Capitalist fisherman, a once and former "Rolling Stone" with hard hitting exposà ©'s on cool shoes and energy drinks. If Hunter Thompson wasn't dead all ready, it would kill him.

Political discourse? Open discussion of the millions of unemployed or a discussion of falling wages. The failure of the social safety net, or the two million more homes to be foreclosed upon this year? Shh, democracy in Egypt! Elton John, Lady Gaga! Little boxes to put you in, Ron Paul wins the vote at the CPAC conference proving yet again, that crazy works. The lemmings feel the heat of the fire and run headlong towards the cliff, anxious to prove their loyalty by diving off. While the isolated, polarized, impoverished masses receive no attention.

We are no longer a part of their world and more to the the point is that, we shouldn't try to be a part of their world. There's is a world of fraud, of phony and finesse, we need to begin to build our own media, our own stores and our own banks. The one thing that Capitalism won't defend is Capitalism, they can't make you shop at their stores or drink their latte's. They can't make you listen to their radio or watch their TV either.

You forget yourself, you forget which side of the fence that you are on. You've forgotten who took your jobs, your house, your income and your future. We are diffused and separated, but our numbers are huge. During WW2 the United States had twelve million men and women under arms. Today there are sixteen million unemployed and ten million homes foreclosed. That's why they want us isolated and separated, that's why they don't want to talk about these stories on the news. They fear our numbers.

They talk instead about the pensions of public workers, why do public workers have better pensions and benefits than private workers? Because they are unionized, because their contracts had cost of living guarantees while most private workers did not. Now public workers whose wages were once lower than private workers are now higher and the media tries to turn worker against worker the same as they did against the United Auto Workers. The same as they've always done since time began, is that your free press? Working for the man in his efforts to crush you?

We have been forgotten, abandoned, abused and betrayed by our government. Sold out, shoved out and ignored. Young, old, black, white, Christian, Muslim and Jew. Management and labor, city worker and farmer living in a land that forgot its people and abrogated its social contract with the populace. A government which has bonded with genetically modified corporations and would sell its soul if only it had one. A government that points with pride to rising corporate profits and ignores falling wages. A government where Karl Rove walks the streets and Bradley Manning sits in a cell.

The civilian non institutional population rose by one million eight hundred and seventy two thousand between January 2010 and January 2011. Meanwhile, the number of people the government lists as in the civilian labor force declined by 167,000 as they lie and tell you unemployment is down to nine percent! They aren't just lying about the numbers of bushels of wheat or tons of coal mined here, they are lying to hide the lives of suffering men, women and children. People who through no fault of their own find themselves abandoned in a corporate catastrophe of a nation whose government just doesn't care.

A government that pays lip service to its people and cash to its contractors. A government that points to Wall Street to create jobs and banks to solve the foreclosure crisis. The Pentagon and the CIA to handle foreign policy and the Federal Reserve to handle domestic policy. You no longer have a choice in these things, the little rain drops are fast becoming a flood. This is no longer about you, this is about your children and grandchildren. This is about what kind of country they will live in and what kind of food you'll eat. This is about what kind of schools your kids will attend and where you'll lay your head down and die.

Nearly twenty percent of American's no longer use a bank because the banks doesn't want them. Without a bank account these Americans can't get a loan to buy a car, they will be discriminated against by employers and landlords. Those that do have accounts feel the corporate tentacles of fees and unasked for services, damned if you do and damned if you don't. We need new banks, chartered on fairness, new media chartered on honesty and new government chartered on fidelity.

I who am I? Born at the pinnacle of American prosperity to parents raised during the last great depression. I was the youngest child of the youngest children born almost between the generations and that in fact clouds and obscures who it is that (more...)
