First, I must say as Americans who ever wins the election MUST have ALL of our prayers and support . Personally, as a Christian I process my identity through Christ .
Being a Christian (a Christ follower, NOT an Obama or McCain follower) means Christ leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms GOD does because he is the ULTIMATE leader.
That being said please read on...
This is my personal belief BUT you can bet that I am sure glad and grateful that
I was blessed enough to be born into this county that allows me to have that freedom of religion.
I am also glad & grateful that I live in a country;
that has FINALLY got to a point that;A BLACK MAN and a WOMAN can run (and nearly win the nomination)for President AND
that a WOMAN is on the ticket to be VICE-PRESIDENT.
We are all blessed that we live in a country where the election processs is NOT CORRUPT(as far as we can tell.JOKING!)
If you truly believe GOD is in control then remember that and let GOD be GOD. 200 years from now nobody will care if I was a Democrat or a Republican.
When I leave this world to live in eternity ,I wont be asked if I was black or white, woman or man
a Democrat or a Republican. I do believe however that I will be asked if I personally know Jesus and accepted him as Lord and savior.
I don't believe that my salvation will hinge on the fact of whether I voted Democrat or Republican in the 2008 election! True,in an election there are many issues to consider like the economy, healthcare, taxes,foreign policy and the war
In my opinion these are the topics that are relevant to the growth & strenght of this nation.
There are stinkers in both camps Democrats & Republicans and nobody can make a blanket statement that
ALL (fill in the blank)
are good or bad ,"REAL" Christians or NOT "REAL" Christians.
Remember, Jesus did not judge. He loved,accepted them all; prostitutes, tax collectors, lepers.
Who are today's lepers? Who are we to judge? Just a bunch of sinners judging another bunch of sinners?.

God gave us free will. He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says a city divided against itself cannot stand, so who are we to say that one group is hearing from God and the other group is not ? Do you really want to live in a country that does not separate church and state ?
Personally, I don't believe it should be up to the government to place a value system on the nation.
This country was and is based on diversity,opportunity and freedom.
Freedom to choose; your religion,your spouse,your field of work etc.
Do you really want to live in a country that will have that much control and police us ?
Ask yourself this question do you personally really need your government to put a value system in place
or would you rather come to that conclusion yourself.. perhaps with your pastor,priest,rabbi,your family,your conscience
etc.?
I may not make the same choices for my life as you would NOR may you make the same for your life.
BUT I will defend till the end YOUR RIGHT and freedom to make those choices and hope you would do the same for me.
