Throughout recorded time history is and will continue to be a summation of the interplay between individuals and institutions. Individuals behave due to certain environmental and social influences and constructs the tangents of which are infinite. Institutions are creations of individuals sometimes encompassing entire regions such as countries, religions sometimes intent on proselytizing and corporations nearly always intent on global growth evident since the Company John and its contemporaries.
Throughout recorded time all institutions have been based on state, church or corporate constructs and functions. Institutions are creations of individuals and always oligarchic or pyramidal to some extent, that is to say they are designed to be controlled by and/or benefit the few over the many. Institutions speak as individuals, are accorded rights equal to and beyond individuals and often take on some sort of persona in order to resemble an individual. Institutions develop to be more concerned about their relationships with other institutions than with individuals. When institutions link, when the separations between churches, states and corporations blur, individuals are belittled. This institutional linkage or oligarchical collectivism is always costly to individuals.
The manner in which institutions relate to other institutions and individuals is ultra important to analyze. It is just as important to understand how individuals relate to other individuals and institutions. The earthquake, tsunami in Japan and the subsequent release of radioactive particles into the earth's air and water is an astonishing disaster possible only in a world where oligarchical collectivism rules. Many other articles describe this event as a "release into the environment.' This is euphemistic. It is a release of poison into the air and water, a poison so terrible the best option to be rid of it is to discard it into space. The facilitation of nuclear energy benefits the few; the owners, investors, scientists and various nuclear authorities. And nuclear energy comes at a cost to the majority; the millions if not billions of weary and wary people.
The only reason why energy from solar, biofuel, wind and wave are not prominent and commonplace is because they are not oligarchical. Anything labeled alternative fuel is not so because it is some far out idea, in fact Rudolph Diesel invented intended his design to run on biofuels. The label is used to belittle the idea and tweak perspective, for alternative fuels are merely alternative to the oligarchical constructs of the status quo. Such misleading language is one of many oligarchical tools, the same notion is used to persuade the many that conventional food is corporate farming with petrolithic chemical enhancement, differentiating organic food. When in fact organic food is the convention of ten thousand years, give or take, not some Monsanto genetically modified rat poison resembling corn or potatoes chemically grown.
Individuals in Japan, during a time of great crisis display humanity, compassion and heroism, the best of people. The way individuals relate with individuals in Japan is deserving of a courteous bow. However, the Japanese people overall and billions of others worldwide have confused individuals with institutions. They have given institutions such as Tokyo Electric the same respect accorded to individuals. Often individuals lend more respect to institutions than they do to individuals. This is the worst of man, this alignment with pyramidal, oligarchical institutions.
It is time for a drastic change. It is time to put the individual above the institution. It is time to declare, "No nukes!' It is time to support energy sources besides nuclear power and alternatives to oligarchical constructs. The Japanese people allowed a six reactor nuclear power plant to be built on the shores of the earthquake and tsunami prone Ring of Fire. Under the best circumstances in a perfect world where paper calculations covered it all and no problems occur it is still a dire undertaking just to store away the used fuel for an age. And we live in an unpredictable and imperfect world where crap occurs.
It is time for drastic measures. It is time to rattle the apathetic and shut down the institutionalized speakers who claim nuclear energy should be furthered or continued. These people have agendas and cannot be trusted or considered as reasonable. People must get angry at this and question institutions and demand they institute other fuels which do not jeopardize people and their air, food and water. Nuclear power is oligarchic and leads to environmental degradation and destruction. Institutions are not individuals. Do not offer institutions the same courtesy and respect as you would individuals. No nukes!
