The problem with democracy is the ignorant can voteFor an ignorant vote is worse than no vote.
In politics and policy,
Stop taking comfort in believing lies
Or you're destroying
Your family and friends,
Your community and country,
And the people and planet.
Ignorance is not bliss;
Ignorance is injurious.
Whether it conflicts with what you were taught to believe or want to believe,
Whether it collides with your prejudices, biases, or stereotypes,
Whether it changes your preconceptions or misconceptions,
Whether it doesn't fit with your party or politics,
Whether it doesn't agree with your family or friends,
Whether it is contrary to your community or country,
And whether seeking it interferes with your lack of time or lack of desire.
You have a duty not just to vote,
But to cast an informed vote.
When you reach the truth,
You will almost always find
The right isn't right;
The left is right
And the right is wrong.
