A precedent for war crimes was started at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials when the top Nazis Leaders were captured and tried, and found guilty of one or more of the following crimes: 'conspiracy to commit crimes alleged in other counts; crimes against peace; war crimes; or crimes against humanity'.

George W. Bush, Richard B. Cheney, and Donald H. Rumsfeld [Principals] have grievously violated United States and International laws, treaties, and covenants worldwide, against torture, and under their direction and authorization, have tortured human beings in their custody, as the overwhelming evidence indicates:

Specific evidence of war crimes and torture ARTICLE XVIII - SECRETLY AUTHORIZING, AND ENCOURAGING THE USE OF TORTURE AGAINST CAPTIVES IN AFGHANISTAN, IRAQ, AND OTHER PLACES, AS A MATTER OF OFFICIAL POLICY.

In clear violation of their constitutional oath to faithfully execute their offices of President of the United States, Vice President of the United States, and Secretary of Defense of the United States, and to the best of their abilities, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of their constitutional duty under Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution "to take care that the laws be faithfully executed", have both personally and acting through their agents and subordinates, violated United States and International Law and the US Constitution by secretly authorizing and encouraging the use of torture against captives in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other "dark sites" throughout the world in connection with their so-called "war of terror" against the human race.

In violation of the Constitution, US law, the Geneva Conventions (to which the US is a signatory), and in violation of basic human rights, torture has been authorized by George W. Bush and his administration as official policy.

Water-boarding, beatings, faked executions, confinement in extreme cold or extreme heat, prolonged enforcement of painful stress positions, sleep deprivation, sexual humiliation, and the defiling of religious articles have been practiced and exposed as routine at Guantanamo, at Abu Ghraib Prison and other US detention sites in Iraq, and at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

George W. Bush, besides bearing responsibility for authorizing the use of torture, also as a Commander in Chief, bears ultimate responsibility for the failure to halt these practices and to punish those responsible once they were exposed.

Torture is further prohibited by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the paramount international human rights statement adopted unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly, including the United States, in 1948. Torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment is also prohibited by international treaties ratified by the United States: the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CAT).

George W. Bush's encouragement of and failure to prevent torture of American captives in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, has undermined the rule of law in the US and in the US military, and has seriously damaged both the effort to combat global terrorism, and more broadly, America's formerly "law abiding nation" image abroad.

In their effort to hide torture by US military forces and the CIA, the Principals have defied Congress and have lied to the American people, repeatedly claiming that the US "does not torture."

If justice were to truly prevail in the United States, if the rule of law was really supreme, and if "no one was above the law", as our officials keep saying, and IF ONLY Obama/Holder had the required will and courage to "uphold the laws of the land" and their sworn duties 'on their watch' to uphold our laws and treaties, the Principals of the George W Bush administration would have been tried post haste for the very same war crimes as those at Nuremberg and these Principals would have their "day of reckoning" in the United States - that the cause justice and the law, so swift and sure, helping all mankind to secure the peace of the world by serving legal notice and the force of law and justice to all would be dictators and tyrants, foreign and domestic, that evil shall not prevail in the United States.
