I'm totally dumfounded when I hear the Unted States of America calling for civil liberties in China. The nation that holds more prisoners in captivity per capita than any nation on the face of the Earth is calling for fair treatment of dissidents in China? Excuse me, but didn't they just pass a law here in the United States that makes it a felony to demonstrate on Federal property?
So what kind of fair-handed justice are we calling for in China? Does the Chinese government have the authority to round up dissedents and take them away to a military prison and be tried by a military tribunal? Seems to me I read something about that taking place here, oh yeah, the NDAA. I wonder what the Chinese leaders are thinking about when we interfere in their political activities, it would seem that they are too polite to mention ours.
This is just another propganda event staged by the Federal government to demonstrate our "American Exceptionalism". We have to demonstrate that we as a "people" will not tolerate the abuse of people in other nations unless of course if we are doing it. In that case "they deserve it".
I really thought that someone would have written this article by now. In fact when I didn't see it I was surprised. I had hoped that this American propaganda would have been challenged by someone by now. This blind "dissident" will be totally surprised if he joins the Occupation movement and finds himself in jail with a felony charge while they deport his wife and kids. Don't think it could happen here? Don't hold your breath. It won't take this Chinese fellow too long to understand that while we "mouth" phrases like liberty and justice, here in America it's their way or the highway. Expect this young fellow to dissappear once he realizes that things here aren't so different than where he came from.
