The obvious commonality that exists between the Jewish state of Israel and the Islamic organization al Qaeda is violence. Both rely heavily on violence to accomplish their goals. Neither one even blinks at killing children and civilians. Both are terrorist groups even though one is an official state.
Both Israel and al Qaeda look at the Torah as being holy scriptures from God. Both religious groups look at the genocidal maniac, Moses, as a godly leader. This in spite of the fact, or possibly because of the fact, that Moses was so brutal he actually was angry with his soldiers for only slaughtering the men of their neighbors who they attacked and left the women and all of children alive. In Numbers 31:14-18 Moses orders his Israeli officers to kill all of the women and all of "the little ones" with the exception of girls who were virgins. The Torah and Old Testament/Hebrew Bible are full of blood soaked tales such as this. This makes it much easier to understand why the Middle East, or "Holy Land", is so full of violence.
In addition to a love for unrestrained violence, both Israel and al Qaeda believe in holding the ancient superstitions and writings above common sense and openly man-made laws. Their holy scriptures and religious laws are man-made, however, they insist on pretending they were given to them by God. One of al Qaeda's complaints against the United States that bin Laden expressed in his open letter to the American people is: "You are the nation who, rather than ruling by the Shariah of Allah in its Constitution and Laws, choose to invent your own laws as you will and desire. You separate religion from your policies, contradicting the pure nature which affirms Absolute Authority to the Lord and your Creator." Of course, bin Laden is suffering from the delusion that the Shariah is from God even though it's merely man-made rules and laws.
Likewise, Israel does not have a constitution even though in its Proclamation of Independence it called for a constitution to be created within three months. The fact that it has never had a constitution is a violation of U.N. Resolution 181. The reason for "the only democracy in the Middle East" not having a constitution is due to its religious nature. Religious Jews did not and do not want any document that could be considered of more importance than their religious documents and scriptures. This makes clear that Israel is not a real democracy despite the claims to the contrary.
These facts should make Americans grateful that America's Founders did not place much importance on religious matters. Since most people in the British American Colonies were Christians, if Christianity was allowed to influence America's Founders the American Revolution never would have taken place. Romans 13:1-7 would have prohibited it. The Bible teachings found there demand that people obey their government leaders and powers that be with fear because God put them there! In fact, it claims that anyone who resists the powers that be will suffer "damnation." That really puts a damper on the Fourth of July! Thank God most of America's key founders were Deists!
