Why let the facts get in the way of a good lie?

That seems to be the mantra chanted in the halls of Congress and the White house Lately. The Anthropomorphic Global Warming crowd's agenda only uses facts and scientific research insofar as they support their preconceived agenda. There is no such thing as 'Settled' science, as many 'true believers' contend, and anyone who calls the case closed for ANY scientific hypothesis or theory is either ignorant, disingenuous or downright fraudulent. The way the so-called 'Climate Bill' was rushed through the House without adequate debate or even the ability to SEE the 1300 page monstrosity before voting is indicative of the way the Obama Administration and the Party Leadership intend to utilize the Congress as a 'Rubber Stamp' for their agenda. Add to that the suppression, omission or simplistic dismissal of valid scientific questioning of this dubious theory both in Government and in the media, and a pattern of deceit emerges that is eerily reminiscent of the propaganda machines of dictatorships both past and present. Wire service stories such as those from AP reprinted in this paper and others don't even pretend to be objective, and usually read like press releases from the the UN's IPCC and other slanted sources!

An in-depth analysis of the legislation passed by the House and now before the Senate shows it has little or nothing to do with 'Climate Change', and everything to do with massive increases in taxation, government control of private industry and the unconstitutional imposition of Federal regulation on States and local communities. It also creates a new type of Financial instrument and market called 'Carbon Credits', which look suspiciously like the ethereal 'Mortgage Derivatives' which unscrupulous investment firms recently utilized to drive our economy into the ditch. Party leadership, independent Economic Think Tanks and even proponents of this abomination in legislation cannot agree to the economic costs, environmental effects and even the very details written into the bill! Even the 'bipartisan' Congressional Budget office can't figure out precisely what's in this monstrosity. We are unarguably in the worst economic depression since the 1930's. Even if these 'changes' were necessary (and they are not), is it wise, prudent or even LOGICAL to impose the greatest tax burden ever conceived upon the American economy, as well as a costly and risky financial scheme that will harm every aspect of our already fragile economic situation?

This huge 'Cap-And-Trade' tax will have the greatest impact on low and middle-income families, as well as small and medium-sized businesses. The wealthy will not see a great impact in proportion to their total income and wealth, while low and moderate income people will see a proportionately large chunk of their already dwindling income go either directly to the Government in new taxes, or (even more insidiously) be drained through the hidden 'inflation tax', where ALL goods and services are hammered by both increased costs in everyday goods as well as the accelerated devaluation of the dollar. Large businesses will be able to use 'Carbon Credit Trading' to enrich, expand and strengthen themselves, as well as pass along any costs along to consumers. Meanwhile, this legislation will enable multinational corporations to swallow up (at bargain prices) or else driving out of existence small and mid-sized businesses. This is only one more piece of the collectivist agenda of the ruling elite that aims to redistribute the wealth in this country- not into the hands of all equally as their neo-Marxist rhetoric attempts to portray, but into the hands of the few internationalist Banksters and Financiers, whose aim is to consolidate their control over economic and financial systems- not only in America, but worldwide.

It is time for all Americans to realize that there is little difference between Democrats and Republicans, as the elite leadership in both parties has been taken over by huge financial interests, and any 'good people' in both wings of the ruling 'Money' Party are either corrupted. co-opted or marginalized into promoting an agenda that enriches and empowers the very few elite, at the expense of bankrupting and destroying the American Way of Life as we once knew it.

I am a 47-year-old lifelong Republican with strong libertarian (small 'l') leanings. I have felt the party has left me over the last 8 years, as more money and big-government interest took over the leadership.
