Feingold's Proposed Censure for President's Lawless Surveillance Deserves Support

Here's an article describing what Feingold has said today, and how the Republicans are trying to brand it "a crazy political move."

Senator Frist tries to tie the president's warrantless wiretaps with protecting Americans, but the Senate has not even tried to find out whom the administration has been spying on, or for what purpose.

And then there is the question of the oath of office --both of the president and of the senators-- which is not about protecting us from external enemies but about protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States.

Now, which Senator --Feingold or Frist-- is honoring that sacred oath?

Messages to Feingold and to the media might be ways of meaningfully supporting Feingold in this brave and principled position.
