Vermont’s independent U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders will be a guest Monday night on The Colbert Report. The show airs at 11:30 p.m. on the Comedy Central channel.
“A lot of people, especially young people, are becoming increasingly skeptical about network news, about corporate media. Amazingly, many of them are turning to Comedy Central, the Jon Stewart show and The Colbert Report, to get a different perspective,” Sanders said.
“I have no idea how well I’m going to do,” he added. “I’ve been on the O’Reilly show a couple of times, so I don’t think this can be any worse than that. In fact, it should be a lot of fun.”
Stephen Colbert’s guests last week included Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and former Senator John Edwards.
