DAY 24 of the TROOPS HOME FAST
CODEPINK DC

July 27, 2006

A National Alert is going out soon with the details on the
latest Troops Home Fast developments: emergency negotiations with the Iraqi
Ambassador for a meeting with Prime Minister Al-Maliki, Medea Benjamin's
disruption of Congress during the Prime Minister's address, protest of John
Bolton's Senate confirmation hearing and the invitation to meet with members
of the Iraqi parliament in Jordan. Whew!

Meanwhile, here in D.C. tomorrow we have a fantastic
opportunity. At 9 am the dogs are descending on the White House. One of them
is Bush's lap dog, "The Poodle," Tony Blair. The others coming are lots of
peace poodles in pink. Bring your dogs, poodles or not (dress them up), real
dogs or toys. Any poodle that arrives will get its own mask of the President
or the Prime Minister. Bring your dog's message for "The Poodle."

If you don't have a dog, bring some Pink Paws for Peace or
Pooper Scoopers for Peace. An award will be given for the best Poodle
impersonation. For those over 50, bring your poodle skirts. Get Creative!

Join the fasters in giving Tony Blair the pinkest welcome ever!
We'll be there all day, so come to the park anytime, but the most exciting
part will happen at 9 am sharp! It's a day you could pick to fast with us.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

We still need housing and volunteers to keep the fast going
strong! And don't forget to join the fast this summer, fast with us for a
week or a day. It will be a life-changing experience, give it a try!
