U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, June 2006
Seeing your faces for the first time today, all sewn together reminds me to pray.
Your faces smiling and shining so bright. Soul Murder destroyed you so early in life.
You all joined together and continue to fight. May we never forget what your fight is about.
May we publicly support you, with love in our hearts. May your souls be calming to all you may touch.
May you never forget the lives you have changed. May we assist you in healing those still suffering in shame.
There is no greater gift than the love you have shared. You have freed many others from the pain you have bared.
Please forgive us for not being there--you deserved to be safe when in our care.
May you always believe in the truths you've revealed --because of your courage, the Church may be healed.
God bless you.
