Article: Truman vs. Blunt: The Underdog Will Win

The countdown has begun.

It's 10 days until Election Day. And history is going to be made. Democrats will regain control of Congress. The people win speak. Change will be made. A clean sweep will happen.

And David will beat Goliath in Southwest Missouri.

This morning, a new national poll by Pew Research showed amazing results. Here is the link:

In the non-partisan poll, for the first time, in House races, Democrats lead Republicans by double digits in competitive House campaigns.

In the remaining Republican controlled Districts around the country, Democratics are within 2 percentage points in safe Republican districts.

So, with 10 days to go, according to national polls, I trail Majority Whip incumbent Roy Blunt by only 2 points.

With no money. No party help. A nobody. A true underdog. Because of public opinion.

David is going to beat Goliath.

But I need help. A recent report by the conservative Washington Post said that as many as 50 long shot races are now up for grabs. The same report said that if one of these long shot races had funds to run a last-second ad the weekend before the election, it would ensure a Democratic majority in Congress.

We have 2 major newspapers in this conservative district: the Joplin Globe in Joplin, Missouri and the Springfield News Leader in Springfield, Missouri. I am speaking to everyone out there. If there is any way that anyone could afford to contact one of these local papers and put in an ad for our campaign, please do. Any advertising in the last few days will make a difference.

My party is not providing any financial help with a long shot race in a conservative district. But public opinion has changed. Currently, most Southwest Missouri voters have no idea they have a choice for change in Congress. If at the last minute, local voters knew they had a choice for change, and that choice goes by the name of Truman, I know that would ensure a historic victory.

I guarantee it.

Please promote the name Truman for Congress. Continue these final days to spread the underground grassroots word of mouth campaign of Truman for Congress. If we work together, we will make change on Election Day.
