As expected, Mitt Romney decidedly won the Nevada Republican primary but the real drama was the dogfight for second place. John McCain and Dr. Ron Paul were neck and neck, trading second and third places throughout the morning. Finally, Paul gained a narrow lead and managed to hold onto it, squeaking out a victory over McCain by less than three hundred votes. Whether the results will have ay effect on the South Carolina Primary this afternoon remain unclear. More to come.
