Sen. Feinstein is apparently NOT waiting to see what happens with HR 811.....or maybe that bill will be voted on beforehand.
Now is the time to call ... again.. both House to vote No on H.R. 811 (if that is your position) and call your Senators on S 1487.
Ask how they can support a bill that gives unprecedented power to Corporations & the EAC ... how can they support statements in the bill such as the following:
'"(C) HISTORICALLY HIGH INTENTIONAL UNDERVOTES-
'(i) FINDING- Congress finds that there are certain distinct communities in certain geographic areas that have historically high rates of intention undervoting in elections for Federal office, relative to the rest of the Nation."
-When did Congress find this?
-Where's the data?
-Have we had hearings in which representatives of minorities said,"We don't like to vote for president, that's why we go to the polls"?
The bill in effect goes on to create classes of voters with different "acceptable" undervotes.
When you have a high "undervote" especially for top offices, it usually means there is a problem.
We should be investigating NOT saying certain people just intentionally don't vote for President, Senator or Representative!
The sections on S 1487 on the powers given to the EAC and the "rights" of Corporations are scary, to put it mildly.
Please read an important analysis of S 1487 at

I think you will be shocked.
Then, after you pick yourself up off the floor, please make these calls and pass this message on.
