Richard Nixon had reached the previous high, 48%, just before an impeachment inquiry was launched in 1974.</blockquote></span>Now the race is on to see if he can beat the all-time worst numbers from Truman. My advice, Mr. President? Keep on doing what you're doing if you want that infamous place in history.
