NJ DREs WITH VERIVOTE PRINTERS FAIL NEW JERSEY
INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY TESTING; NJ COURT ORDER
ALTERNATIVE -
This is great news for me that I want
to share with all of you. N.J. Superior Court Judge Linda Feinberg has ordered her state to retrofit 10,000 DRE voting machines - including Sequoia AVC
Edge and Advantage machines - with printers to ensure accuracy. But Printers from three vendors - including Sequoia Voting Systems - were found deficient this summer in tests by the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
The state Attorney General's Office told the judge that retesting would take at
least six more weeks whereupon Judge Feinberg told the defendants, "You need to tell me what the alternatives are." Optiscanner proponents have offered free scanner software as incentive to replace DREs with Optiscanner technology.
The great news is that this opens the way for a return to hand cast, hand counted votes or the implementation of open source DRE code.
copies of the NJIT reports. Rejoice election activists! We're winning! Now is the time to come to the aid of New Jersey. Spread the word where ever you
can.
