A parallel story was broken recently by Dan Rather in his recent HD TV documentary regarding the Sequoia Company. These stories combined point to the fact that these two companies, both manufacturers of electronic voting machines, set up a fake problem with hanging chads in Florida which were used primarily in high minority districts. This led to not only the effective disenfranchisement of tens of thousands of minority voters who were historically Democratic voters, (read, votes for GORE), but also the passage of the 2002 Help America Vote Act and the consequent rush of states purchasing fraudulent electronic voting machines, now used by 80 to 90% of all voters!
