Another Missouri Land Grab?

November 11 , 2007  -  I have been doing extensive research regarding the Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area, a project that started in Lawrence, Kansas and quickly spread to Missouri with the help of former U.S. Senator "Chicken Jim" Talent.

All indications are that at the very least Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area is a "back-door" land grab.  In addition it appears to be a way to implement UN agendas such as "sustainable development" through private organizations.

Other possibilities  are that it is tied into the NAFTA Super-Highway and Kansas City Inland Port Projects.  This theory gained credibility with U.S. Representative Jo-Anne Emerson's (R) 8th District, endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Rudolph Guiliani.

On October 23, 2007 the Southeast Missourian newspaper published a story in which quoted Representative Emerson as saying, " I'm proud to support Mayor Giuliani for President because he offers the best vision for our nation...

His commitments to protecting American families and advocating fiscally conservative polices are important to Missourians"

In response I wrote an Opinion-Editorial that was carried in the Southeast Missourian newspaper as well as Op-Ed News. Com.  The Op-Ed detailed Guiliani's involvement and investments related to the NAFTA Super-Highway and Kansas City {Kansas} Inland Port projects that will include Interstate 35 , which runs through Western Missouri.

"Guiliani has ties to the NAFTA Super-Highway project via the Texas Trans-Corridor. The TCC awarded the massive construction project to Cintra Concesiones de Infrastructures de Transporte, S.A, a foreign firm based in Spain. An article entitled, "NAFTA Superhighway Has Guiliani as Key Player," found at the Hulic.com Web site, details Guiliani's involvement, stating:

"At the center of negotiations for multiple legs of the superhighway corridor throughout Texas is none other than Rudolph Giuliani's law firm, which landed the comprehensive development agreement for a widening of Interstate 35, now referred to as the TTC-35.

"The NAFTA superhighway and its corridor will run from Southwestern Mexico through Laredo, Austin and Dallas, Texas, into Kansas City, Kan, [via western Missouri] serving as an inland customs port. ... Most interesting ... is not only has Mr. Giuliani's involvement in the NAFTA superhighway not ever been publicly addressed, but how a foreign company is awarded the building of a mass highway system, versus maintaining it, for the first time in U.S. history, and negotiated by the law firm of the top Republican candidate running for president of the United States. And truly disturbing is how such will not only have national and homeland security and sovereignty implications but how it is deliberately being kept away from the halls of Congress.

"Giuliani fancies himself as an expert on homeland security issues and a law enforcer. And he has amassed quite the portfolio since 2002, earning $20 million in that year alone, by selling himself as such. He owns Giuliani Partners, Giuliani Safety & Security and Giuliani Capital Advisors. In March 2007 he sold Giuliani Capital Advisors, a former Ernst & Young finance company he purchased in 2002, to Macquerie Infrastructure Consortium. Not coincidentally, it is a partner of Cintra's in its shared operations of toll roads in both Indiana and Chicago."

What we are talking about are politicians, both nationally and in Missouri, including U.S. Representatives, Blunt, Emerson and Skelton. U.S. Senator Kit Bond, and Former U.S. Senator "Chicken Jim" Talent. As well as our own Governor, Matt Blunt, who have supported the Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area, a program that has the potential to be a huge private property land grab, whether it is for reasons of re-writing history, or gobbling up land for a sovereignty robbing NAFTA project.

I was talking to a friend on the phone the other day and we were both wondering when the powers that be would try to implement a "Heritage Area" in Eastern , Missouri. We just assumed that it would be named something like "The U.S. Grant" or the "Abraham Lincoln" heritage area.

No sooner had we pondered the question, it was revealed. Who would have thought that it would have been in the name of "Lewis and Clark", and what do you know, Representative Jo Anne Emerson's name is linked to it.

On November 9th, 2007 the Southeast Missourian newspaper published a story entitled, "U.S. House passes legislation to study whether to extend Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail" , which states that:

"Legislation to study whether and how to extend the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail has been approved by a U.S. House committee, U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson announced Thursday.

The legislation has been combined with nine other bills that will be sent to the House floor as the America's Historical and Natural Legacy Study Act, Emerson said in a prepared statement. Emerson, R-Mo., said the quick action on the measure, introduced in late September, shows both the merits of the bill and the effort to win its approval.
