Who are the traitors and who are the heroes?

Many years ago I picked up a newspaper put out by the Lyndon LaRouche crowd - just to see what they said. I'd always heard them written off as crazies, extremists, idiots, etc. by everyone and the mainstream media virtually never even mentioned them without demeaning them so I was curious.

The first story I scanned was about the British royal family supporting some evil regime or something. Eventually, I tossed the paper and forgot about it. These days I hear Larouche people sometimes speak at Democrat meetings and they don't really sound that crazy to me anymore.

But the point I want to make is that those many years ago - after reading just a part of that newspaper - I had the strange notion "wouldn't it be weird if all the people we've all traditionally written off as the "crazies" were the only ones telling us the real truth and the "normals" or "professionals" were the ones who'd been lying to us all along. Because the horrors the "crazies" described were too difficult for any of us to listen to much less believe about our own government and leaders, we joined in with the liars and wrote them off as extremists and crazies, too.

The "normals" being the mainstream media, of course, have maintained their fictional version of reality for so long simply because the citizens of this country accompanied them to the dance because we liked their music better and the image was so much more appealing. No one wants to believe their government has a shadow government, shadow intelligence agencies, a separate set of laws for those with money, etc. We didn't want to go to that dance with the discordant music and the dark dance floors.

So we listened to the ones who told us what we wanted to believe about ourselves and gave us the smoothest lies. The lies were less painful. I still want to believe there was a time when we did have a free press and an honorable one, but it's getting harder to listen to that tune anymore.

Have they always been this corrupt but we the people just didn't know it? Were we that naive all these years - which would be most of my life? Have we been played by virtually every human being who is supposedly representing our interests and welfare - both elected and not?

Now, when the mainstream media villifies someone, I look twice and try to find out more about that person by reading other sources with different points of view. Such as Hugo Chavez. We hear how dangerous he is and that he's a communist. It seems to me he's just a good leader trying to help his own people live better. Of course, that would be a threat to the demons governing our land these days. For Chavez' people to have a little more, the big corporations and their minions must do with a little less. They aren't willing to do that. They don't just want more - they want it ALL!!! And won't be content until they have it all and the rest of the world has nothing.

So these days I'm more inclined to trust the "madmen" with their little alternative papers, discordant music and painful words and discount virtually everything I hear or read in mainstream media as more of their smooth lies and pleasant siren's tunes. Even if these madmen do sound crazy at first, the stories they tell sound less and less crazy and more and more possible now after enduring six miserable years of GWB (whose name I dare not mention).

So, does that also mean that aliens can send us messages via radio waves through the fillings in our teeth, after all? Oh, dear! Wonder what they're saying these days. They were so fond of saying on the "X Files" - Trust no one! But who can live like that? Every nation and individual needs a government and business leaders they can trust or we are definitely doooooomed. But then Fox Muller also said, "The truth is out there." But where? where? where? where?
