I keep hearing the argument that impeachment would hurt the country; the timing is wrong, it would waste our precious energies to concentrate on the business at hand. And I hear this nonsense from the Republicans and from my very own democratic leaders.
Gee, and I was thinking that human slaughter was the most imperative business we could possibly have on hand…
Down memory lane I digress but I heard none of these arguments during Clinton’s reign. Although I thought it absurd to hunt down a president over an illicit liaison with a legal adult, I was on board with the perjury problem, although the context was rather trite.
So here we are, years later, and we have a real situation. Not a man who lies under oath to avoid his wife’s knowledge of his adulterous behavior, but who lied to the FBI and under oath about the outing of one of our very own CIA agents. Hello, America. Wake up. This is some serious business. And our questionable leader just let this traitor off the hook.
Yet, Somehow, at the present time, impeachment is just not right for the country,
If only our justice system worked the way our Congress works. Sorry, we sent a killer to jail last week and we’re so damn tired. For the sake of the country’s morale, let this new killer go.
Every day that passes, another American dies, hundreds of Iraqis die, another foreigner in another land turns on us, terrorists are recruited and America circles the drain.
Please, folks, get a good nights rest, wake up invigorated and let's do the right thing… the thing our forefathers would have demanded we do. Throw the bum and his sidekick out.
