Remember to take Jesus to the voting booth

Frankly, in these mean, conservative times, it's beginning to look like the end of marriage.r

A chap named Steven Greenhouse wrote an article in the Labor Day edition of The New York Times that said: "Entry-level wages for college and high school graduates fell by more than 4 percent from 2001 to 2005..."

At the same time, the health care and pension benefits available to these young workers evaporated.

A young man or woman cannot seek out a mate and get married at that low rate of income, let alone attempt to buy a house.

Oh, did I mention rising housing costs as well?

Inflation, stagflation, thy name is Bush, merrily at work to destroy the American family, the foundation of our currently struggling civilization.

In contrast, during the latter Clinton years, President Clinton, having righted the conservative tendency toward national deficit, saw personal income raise approximately 12 percent.

It has dropped 5.9 percent in the years since George W. Bush took power.

Yes, those were happy years, the Clinton years of national prosperity for more people.

People daring to get married, to have children, to buy houses, now to find their hopes for the future dashed into the ground and trod upon by the ruthless Bush attack on the values of American families.

In the meantime, it has almost become pointless for young people to make the sacrifices necessary to attend college. All the meaningful jobs have been or are in the process of being shipped overseas to lower-cost workers.

Also, tuitions have risen sharply and more students are forced to borrow money if they wish for a college education.

The part-time jobs that would have seen students through university in the past are now in the hands of undocumented workers - because these workers work so cheaply.

American workers must also take on the follies of the devil-may-care Mexican oligarchical government, which sorely abuses its own work force and ships their problem of economic inequality over the border onto the shoulders of the American working man or woman.

Muchas gracias, Seï ¿ ½or Fox, Seï ¿ ½or Calderon - such a nice present you give us!

Ah, yes, I remember the good old days, "BR" (Before Reagan), when the American family was treasured and valued.
