Blame Bush: Everyone Else Is!

Good Morning Middle America, your King of Simple News is on the air:

U.S. NEWS: As the ten year campaign for president drags on, the candidates are throwing out the reasons for America being in the tough shape that we find ourselves in.

I should say, throwing out the reason: George Bush. George Bush is solely responsible for the price of oil being so high, the debt being so high, food costs being so high, autos being so high, and apparently for most Americans being so high on something, that they believe the candidates claims of personal innocence.

I don’t really think Americans are high, I think they are low, low on knowledge of just how our government works. I admit, the study of government rates right up there with the study of tree bark, but it’s important to understand the basics.

I’ll abbreviate the boring lecture regarding the founding of our system and get right down to the meat and potatoes. We have 540 members of Congress who have a job, okay, maybe not job, but they do get paid. They are supposed to be looking out for you and me.

The House of Representatives says it all in the name, “Representatives.” The idea here was that all of these guys and gals who were elected to the “House” by the good citizens, were supposed to “represent” all of the people equally, not just all of the people with money.

There are rules to the game of government that came in the original box along with the game pieces. Our representatives seem to have lost these rules, but fortunately we have a copy in a framed display that is heavily guarded. It’s called the Constitution of the United States of America. There are a couple of accompanying rule sheets called, The Bill of Rights and The Declaration of Independence that are also framed and guarded.

If the people that we sent to Congress actually read the rules, they would understand that the President can’t do a darn thing without their consent. That was in fact, the whole idea. We weren’t electing a dictator we were electing a President. And, if he did try and pull a shenanigan, the 540 members of Congress are charged with resisting such ill conceived action with great vigor.

They also have the charge of reporting such attempts by the president (or anyone else for that matter) to the boss; that would be us by the way. Doing so gets them atta-boys and girls which helps their re-election campaign.

Now some of the people who have been on the 10 year-death-march-presidential campaign are secretly current members of Congress. These are the same ones who say George Bush is responsible for all that is wrong in the world including Green Bay losing their playoff game. I don’t want to mention any names, but their initials are Hillary Rodham Clinton, John McCain and Barrack Obama.

So where have these current members of Congress been when the bad ideas were being trotted out and the voting was taking place; on bathroom break?

You may be saying, "Hey, Ron Paul's in Congress." And I would say, yes he is and I know what his suggestions and voting record have been. Ol Ron's getting smarter every day as we watch our FED in action.

Wake up Middle America, the foxes are running for chicken house guards.
