Neo-con Strategies

Eureka. We see the strategy. It's not just the politicizing of fear in the run up to the elections. Bush and the neo-cons, including some in the Democratic Party and others leaving to become Independents, will be linking Iraq to 9/11 or at least attempting to as George W. did in his latest press conference.

"The terrorists attacked us and killed 3,000 of our citizens before we started the freedom agenda in the Middle East."

This was Bush's answer to a reporter who noted that Iraq was able to defend itself before we invaded--the only condition under which the president would (he says) withdraw our forces.

George wasn't allowed to get away with the connection. He immediately was challenged to explain what Iraq had to do with the attacks of September 11, 2001.

"Nothing," said the president. And then he continued with one whopper of a lie: "Nobody has ever suggested in this administration that Saddam Hussein ordered the attack."

Last night I tuned to MSNBC because a friend had e-mailed to tell me that Joe Scarborough had done a segment in which he asked, "Is Bush an Idiot?" That's the same Joe who used to shake pompoms for the president.

When I turned on the television, Chris Matthews was showing proof positive that someone in the administration had indeed linked Saddam to 9/11-Dick Cheney. Matthews played this footage more than once.

Seems MSNBC is really mixing it up. Republican strategist Terry Holt appeared on "Scarborough Country" to defend Bush. He ended up saying, "He's got a good gut."
I guess Holt hoped to convince the viewers that the president is at least intuitive.

Scarborough reminded him that even many conservative Republicans have been questioning George's smarts.

But back to the Republican strategy for winning elections and preventing the possible impeachment of George W. Bush-maintaining a Republican controlled Congress-the line of attack will focus on terror, terror, terror and Saddam-9/11. Keep this in mind as you're bombarded with propaganda.

And remember the last half of Bush's sentence: "before we started the freedom agenda in the Middle East." Ask yourselves if this "freedom" is democracy or the ultimate liberation-death. More than 3,000 Iraqi civilians were killed in July alone. Also, think about Bush's statement that as long as he's president our troops will remain in Iraq. Seems Bush can stomach a lot of death.

Gutless during Viet Nam, George W. is testosterone charged when someone else is wearing the uniform. Let's send him a message that he's lost his mojo.
