Pakistan forces have been fighting against in the terrorists in the areas and they have been providing support to them in this movement. Most of the Maliks and elders have expressed their readiness to cooperate with the United States in the war against terrorism.
According to newspaper reports, Pakistan has sent fresh forces to Bajaur Agency for checking the movement of terrorists. The reports said that Pakistan has deployed regular army and Frontier Corps personnel along the unfrequented routes leading to Afghanistan's Kunar province from here and sealed the border.
They said the step had been taken to check infiltration of terrorists into the agency from across Afghanistan. The Mamond tribes had assured the authorities of full cooperation in setting up a checkpoint in the border areas.
This is the first time that regular troops have been deployed in areas falling in the jurisdiction of Mamond subdivision.
The authorities have also ordered an increase in the number of paramilitary troops and Frontier Corps personnel to check cross-border movement in the agency. Eyewitnesses said that several contingents of army had reached the agency.
The residents appealed to United Nations and United States to take steps for controlling terrorism in the tribal areas. According to them, terrorism can only be controlled if the tribesmen were provided opportunities of getting education. Though education, according to them, terrorism can be defeated. This impression is absolutely wrong that the Islam teaches us terrorism. Islam is the religion of peace. It always stressed on respecting the feelings of others.
