We've seen that Rumsfeld wouldn't go until Bush told him to.
Gonzales doesn't have the sense or decency to resign, now that the world knows what a low life partisan traitor to the whole idea of justice he is.
Wolfowitz failed in his role at the office of special plans and was a key idiot in getting America into the most stupid war we've ever entered and now he refuses to resign from the World Bank, though the 10,000+ employees have no respect for or trust in him.
Bush's appointees deserve to go down in history as the worst of the worst. There are some people who have, in good faith, taken jobs with the Bush government. I'm not talking about them. But there are too many idologues-- like the theofascists trained at Regent university, the hand-culled Karl ROve picks, who are not interested in the people of America, nor in a strong, healthy America. Some are interested in raw power. Some are interested in the power to force others to be subjected to their religious laws, like the Taliban.
Michael Brown, a guy who was given a job beyond his competency, really screwed up. He failed to manage the Katrina disaster and some people died and many suffered and are still suffering. But Brownie resigned. Maybe Bush told him to, maybe not. Still, he didn't stay on dangling in the wind as things got worse and worse. He took it look a many-- an incompetent one, but, nonetheless a man.
Like the Voltaire's one-eyed man, Michael Brown at least quit when he should have and then spoke some truth.
These ethically impaired, craven enemies of justice and democracy, these traitors to American interests, have no thought about quitting once they are outed.
It is disturbing that Gonzales, WOlfowitz, Rumsfeld and their kind are treated so cordially. They deserve to not only be removed from their jobs but also put in jail.
That time is coming near. We need to make it clear to the legislators in congress that when they do finally impeach Cheney and Bush, they and their criminal appointees must face the same consequences that any other criminal should face. Anything less will be a travesty of justice and there has been enough of that already.
