Bloviators and blogs on the Right, led by Bill O'Reilly's disingenuous attacks on anything not of his own agenda, has decided to twist Lt. General Ricardo Sanchez' s lambasting of the Bush administration's war policy to say that his excoriation of the media was an attack on the Left.
If placed in context, is Sanchez deriding the Left or is he aiming his words an assault against Fox News and the Lords of Loud on the Right. (including the Judith Millers of the New York Times)?
You decide...
"Other major challenges are your willingness to be manipulated by high level officials who leak stories and by lawyers who use hyperbole to strengthen their arguments. Your unwillingness to accurately and prominently correct your mistakes and your agenda driven biases contribute to this corrosive environment. All of these challenges combined create a media environment that does a tremendous disservice to America." Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez's speech and Q&A session at the Military Reporters & Editors
Think the "high level officials" Sanchez speaks about are on the Left?
