When Your Gravity Fails and Negitivity Won't Pull You Though

I wrote an open letter to the US Congress yesterday about Campaign Reform. On the article was a place to send a message to your Senators' or Congressman. It took me a few days to compose that article and a few hours to put it on paper. I had hopes that after this election, with so many values and all the liberties we talked about, the ones that our forefathers worked so hard for, being taken away by Bush and Company, I really believed that people were really starting to give a damn. I guess I'm wrong. I am still seeing lots of firebrands talking about impeaching Bush like we did Nixon. First of all, Nixon was NEVER impeached. He was investigated and resigned. Only two presidents were ever impeached and the last one, Bill Clinton, was impeached by the NeoCons.

Whole I read all the articles about "President Nancy Pelosi", I shake my head and laugh. If you people think that Nancy Pelosi gives a rat's ass about people that make noises as if they are really part of this political system, you are the reason's that she and Bush and Kerry are laughing behind your backs. They don't give a sh*t about you. As far as they are concerned, you live on another planet. Sure, they would like you to vote for them, and speak well of them, but in reality, they only listen to people that can help them; the people with the big pockets; the Corporations and the Big Special Interest Organizations that pour money into their campaign coffers.

This Country is a nation ruled by wealthy families. Unless you are a very charismatic and well connected person, an enigma like Bill Clinton, what you think and say doesn't matter. It's just like Coca-Cola and PepsiCo selling you Dasani and Aquafina, which are nothing but filtered tap water to you for $1.29 a bottle. It's the packaging. Everything is wrapped up in a nice package and sold for double the price. It's like Efferdent and all of the other denture cleaners that look like Alka-Seltzer tabs. Some boxes sell for $5.59 and are made for "smokers", some are $5.29 and "freshen denture breath". Some are store brands and sell for $2.29 and have the store brand label and no advertising, but guess what? They are all made by the same company and they are all the same tablets. Look at the packaging inside, its all the same, even to the print design. It's all in the packaging and the promise they give you.

That's the same with the Republicans and Democrats. They are the same too. Both made from the same companies. In the last ten years, the corporate world had completely taken over our government. Remember the Tri-Lateral Commission that Jimmy Carter was supposed to belong to and was going to bring us a "New World Order"? Well it was true, and they did. The members of the Tri-Lateral Commission declared victory in public. These multi-national corporations wanted free trade and they wanted to do away with national boundaries, but they also wanted to do away with ANY government oversight on commerce and trade. They got it.

While I was writing for OpEdNews, I thought that I had found a group of writers, with a progressive audience that was involved and wise. Now that the NeoCons have been thrown out of Congress (or at least they lost their majority) I see people writing as if they have some kind of real power. I wrote this "Open Letter to Congress" about taking the Corporations out of picking the nominees, and the corporate donations to political parties stopping the average person from getting into the political system. Rob Kall headlined the story because I guess he thought it was important. Yet, I got no comments and not a reader or a submitter actually used the feature that enables you to write you Senators or Congressman at the click of a mouse. Not Even Rob Kall. Maybe you are all too busy rewriting the Constitution and deciding what to do with Bush and Cheney. What a gas. Meanwhile the corporations are giving their marching orders to the Blue Republican Party and strategies on how they can dig a little deeper into the citizen's pockets.

The war will continue, Haliburton will be paid, The Patriot Act will continue to stand, and the NSA will continue to tap your phones. You won't see National Healthcare, Campaign Reform, or a reduction of the prison population. As for me, I will continue to write articles, whether it's here or somewhere else about how your politicians work for corporate America. They work for the people that keep the political families rich, and finance their campaigns. All the while the idiot class in the United States buys tap water from Coke for $1.29. Kinda makes you go ummm. Remember, I don't make this stuff up.
