Our Coming Trip to Hell

So I guess that many people in America don’t deserve the human rights and the freedoms and protection that our old beat-up Constitution used to afford them. Some of us…well me I guess, because I can’t speak for anyone but myself, are tired of screaming into the wind only to have my words blown back into my own ears. People don’t seem be listening much. I write articles and instead of taking the article as a whole, people seem to like to dissect them, taking a sentence there and a word there and pulling them apart as if I was writing a contract that would have to be adhered to. Try to write about ideas, not legal briefs.

I have been writing about Bush and his Executive Orders for a few weeks and have been trying to get Republicans to persuade their elected officials to make some noise about the dictatorship Bush is locking the People of America into. None of it has seemed to register with many people. The people on the left just love to find a sentence that they can rail about and Republicans just love to point their fingers at Democrats and include them as the reason that this country is headed towards a dictatorship. The Democrats rip into me when I say that Congress isn’t doing much to stop Bush: I guess that they weren’t listening when the Democratic leadership took “Impeachment off the table”. If anyone deserved impeachment it’s George W. Bush. Conyers may say he doesn’t have the votes, but arresting Cindy Sheehan speaks volumes.

We are on our trip to hell. You can write your comments about this article and pick it apart, but the fact is that won’t stop us from losing our freedoms and human rights that were once guaranteed by our Constitution. When the black Suburban’s pull up to your house with a Federal subpoena for donating to the wrong charity or political action group, and start pulling hard drives out of your computers, just remember all of the articles that people wrote telling you that this was coming. I think that I’m at the point where I feel that it’s time to jump from the pot. The water has gotten too warm for me. Let everyone boil like the proverbial frogs, but I’m not a frog and I’m getting out. Maybe later, when people realize just what they have let happen on their watch and finally want to fight back, I’ll jump back in. Not back into the pot, but back into the fight. Right now it’s just too damn hard to pour out my guts to people that really don’t care, or see what is happening. Some people just want to argue with each other. There is really nothing more to argue about. The stage is set, we are just waiting for the curtain to rise on our new dictatorship and fall on our great republic. There are a few out there that have given me the will to keep on keeping on. You know who you are. Thanks.

Maybe this country will finally wake up, but I kind of think that at this point, it’s not going to do much good until everyone wakes up. I’ll say this one more time. George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney are fascists, they believe in corporate fascism, they have absolutely no respect for human life or the majority of American principles, and they believe that their radical views must be followed regardless of whether or not it is legal under the US Constitution. They want dictatorial power and they are not far from it. There is not much time left, months or maybe days. If these words frighten you I’m sorry, but this is what I believe as the truth. If we manage to get through the next 18 months without a nuclear war with Iran, or martial law being declared, or mass arrests, I’ll be pleasantly surprised. I blame Hillary and Bill Clinton for not telling the American people the truth. I blame Obama for being ignorant of the facts. I blame Edwards for knowing the truth and just alluding to it. I even blame Dennis Kucinich for not being radical enough and calling a spade a spade. I take my hat off to Mike Gravel who is so truthful, he doesn’t have a chance. I take my hat off to Ron Paul for having the courage to speak the truth while inside the enemy camp. I blame Al Gore for not joining the fight and instead taking on the environment. That is real nice Al, but when the US becomes the fascist dictatorship it is headed for, global warming won’t be an overriding concern of theirs.

I respect all of the journalists and bloggers that have reported the truth for the last six years without a let up. I hope that every left leaning political site that started with the truth, but then became so popular, that not stepping on toes became more of a priority than telling the truth; I believe that you should lose your readership. I have things that I must do, and some of those things are to make sure that I’m prepared for anything that comes along. You won’t see me disappear, but you won’t see me often. I hope that you try to understand what I’ve written here and why. If there is a God, I hope he blesses you all. I have always loved this country, and I will continue to love it, but maybe the time of our greatness is past. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but trying to push back every day of my life is just too draining. It’s time for me to recharge.
