The article goes on to say that the "Center for American Progress"- started by George Soros spawned "Media Matters"- a highly praised Progressive media outlet that is supposed to counter right wing pundits. That's not the worst news. The fact is that "Media Matters"- according to the article, spawned "The Center for Independent Media"- and that is the offshoot that funnels money into the left wing blogosphere.
Hillary Clinton said herself at Yearly Kos that "In a lot of the new progressive infrastructure, institutions that I helped to start and support like Media Matters and Center for American Progress, we're beginning to match what I had said for years was the advantage of the other side."-
If all of this is true, we need to identify these Progressive bloggers that are on the take from Hillary Clinton's campaign. When corporate money seeps into the progressive blogosphere, we are in effect, toeing the corporate line. If there are bloggers that don't realize that this is what's happening to them, then they should wake up and smell the coffee. This is just another way that the corporate elite have of buying support. Either we are unfettered, or we risk being the same as the people that we write about. I would accept a job from a campaign, but I surely wouldn't take money under the table to write nice things about Hillary Clinton on my "independent"- blog or write articles under my name and send them into large progressive websites as my opinion when I'm spending a candidates money.
If you would like to see the article it's here click here Read it for yourself and see where the potential problems lie. The last thing we need is people believing that progressives are as tainted by corporate money as the right is.
That's the way I see it.
