Public Schools through the Brooklyn Arts Council. Their "Penguins on Thin Ice" climate change musical revue (www.PenguinsOnThinIce.com) was performed by high school students at the United Nations in May 2007 for the U.N. Commission on Sustainable Development. Sharon is executive director of Irthlingz Arts-Based Environmental Education 501(c)(3). She has sung at the U.N. and for the World Summit on Sustainable Development in South Africa. Her antiwar music video "Please Don't Call It Theater When You're Talking About War" is available at www.YouTube.com/sharmuse. A classically trained singer and violinist, Sharon has described herself as a musical mercenary, declaring, "I'll sing anything, with feeling, for money". This is a lie. Her conscience will not allow it, but she will sing and write many things in many styles, mostly on social issues like climate change, war and Instant Runoff Voting. Sharon believes that evolution of the human spirit is possible, but it had better happen soon. She meditates an hour a day, and believes that cultivating peace within is a powerful way (and perhaps the only way) to manifest peace 'out there'.
