Dr. Martinson is an ecologist who explores the nexus of political, social, cultural and ecological interactions. She has been making critical observations of the natural world for more than a decade, and has addressed audiences in universities, government, and civil society in several countries. She is currently working on a study that addresses climate change responses of plants in California, as is also working on building a map of future global vegetation patterns. She has concurrent academic appointments at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Oregon State University.

Wresting the Pro-life mantra from the GOP For too long the Republican party has sold itself to the American people as being pro-life. It is time to reconsider what it means to be pro-life and to determine which party values life.
