Samantha Thompson is 21 years old and a senior at UC Santa Cruz. She was born the second of three girls and was raised in Woodland Hills, CA where she graduated from El Camino Real High School in 2005. She then moved to Santa Cruz where she has been pursuing a major in American Studies. At the beginning of her sophomore year at UCSC, Samantha joined the campus newspaper, City on a Hill Press, as a sports writer. She wrote for the sports desk for one year and then became the sports editor for two quarters, after which point she ran for and won the job of Editor in Chief. She is currently in her second of three quarters in that position. Samantha will graduate with a BA in the spring of 2009.
