Who am I that I presume such wisdom as to warrant an audience for my words? Who am I that I assume that I am entitled to speak my mind about things that have national and global implications?



I find it curious that a populace that complains of corporate and government corruption continues to evaluate the worth of their neighbors based upon standards set by the same people to whom they ascribe all kinds of criminal practices and nefarious motivations.



If there is any doubt as to whether or not The Establishment counts me as one of their darlings, or whether my work bears their stamp of approval, let us now lay these questions to rest. The answer is unequivocally, "No."



Who am I? For nearly half a century, America; you loved me when I suited your purposes, you hated me when I did not and ignored me the rest of the time.



I am an American citizen.



My sole credential for addressing the many issues that affect all of our lives is wrapped up in that single statement. If you require more, then our nation is in worse shape than any of us suspected.
