I consider myself lucky to live and work on the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii. The people are diverse in terms of race and origin, but the attitude of Aloha is pretty universal. There is a palpable sense of "color-blindness" here, which can only be a good thing.

I've worked mainly in the visitor industry -- vacation rentals and timeshare resorts.

Politically, I find great value in looking at all sides of arguments, as I notice that one side of an argument is often ignored or minimized by one side or the other in the media. Thus, for example, if I watch BOTH Rachel and Glenn, BOTH Al S. and Bill O., BOTH Andersen and Brett --I end up with a complete view of the whole picture.

That being said, I find myself more often than not coming down in the neighborhood of the center-right, which is I think where you will find the majority of Americans.
