U.S. Military Carried out Cheney's Assassination Plan When CIA Rejected It Although the CIA rejected Cheney's assassination plan, he did get the Pentagon to do it. All this attention to the CIA plan obscures the fact that U.S. military hit squads actually did go out and kill people for Bush and Cheney. Congress must investigate this and punish those who were responsible and who carried out Cheney's plan when even the CIA refused to do it.
