Lucitania was the old Roman name given to a land, populated by Celtic tribal horse mounted warriors, a land bathed in dazzling bright sunshine, highlands located in what is now parts of northern Portugal, southern Galicia, and western Spain. Their name survived as a noble equine breed although the people's history has faded into the mists of time. As the Lucitanian, I ride today as one with my steed into battle, my mount is compassion shod in understanding, my lance the word, truth is the bright light by which I discern the enemies; ignorance, prejudice, deception, and delusion. Through knowledge and experience together we may win wisdom, to be shared freely by all, finally leading us to enlightenment.
