Rabbi Gordon L. Gladstone, D.D. retired from the pulpit of Temple Beth Am of Bayonne NJ, and was named Rabbi Emeritus on June 21, 2013. He received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Cincinnati in 1968, the Bachelor of Hebrew Letters degree from the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in 1972, the Master of Arts in Hebrew Letters degree in 1973, and the Doctor of Divinity degree in 1998.
Following ordination in 1973, Rabbi Gladstone served congregations in Middletown, Ohio and Fargo, North Dakota before coming to Bayonne in 1984. He also served as a prison chaplain in Jackson, Michigan and Lebanon, Ohio.
The rabbi was President of the Bayonne Interfaith Clergy Association from 1990 until 2013, and served on committees of many Jewish and civic organizations. He was recognized for his efforts by the New Jersey General Assembly and New Jersey State Senate in 1991
Rabbi Gladstone and his wife Anita have two adult sons, Joshua and Jesse.
