I'm a 55 year old, divorced professional with two great kids. I do not consider myself to be Christian but I strive to be spiritual in my outlook on others and Mother Earth. My political views are very slightly right of center. I believe that global warming MAY be taking place but am not decided on the extent to which human activities factor in. I certainly am repulsed by the irresponsibility of a mindless transfer of wealth from the developed world into the hands of ruthless tinpot dictators who will line their own pockets and bolster their military stockpiles to make life even more hellish for the poor wretches who are unfortunate enough to live under them. I believe in abortions for the young, victims of rape or incest. I think, however, that after your third abortion you obviously are not grasping some fundamentals of life and should probably pay the bill yourself. I believe that 95% of all wars are evil and unjust although I have nothing but admiration and sympathy for the young men and women who idealistically go and fight them. I believe that 90% of our leaders are in power for the wrong reasons, be they Democrat or Republican, Conservative or Liberal and are serving their own interests or those of Big Bus or Big Pharma. I am encouraged by the internet that along with all of terrible soul numbing things that it offers up, yet it is the greatest tool that is reaching into the world and bringing together people of like mind and good will and facilitating the sharing of ideas and ideals. I am optimistic that over time good will triumph over evil and that the consciousness of the human race will steadily rise.
