I am a retired professor of social policy living in La Grande, OR. I have been a lifelong advocate for progressive policies related to hunger and poverty in the United States and the world. I am amember of Physciians for a National Health program and Mad as Hell Doctors working for single risk pool, single-payer health insurance reform. I am also active in attempts to influence climate change induced by global warming--the issue I believe is the most important we face in the early decades of this century.
