I'm very concerned that the U.S. is turning into a military police state. We're in a major depression. Humanity is destroying the environment worldwide, at a rapidly accelerating pace.
The bright side is: people still have the capacity to love, humanity's store of knowledge is greater than ever, I feel that some people are waking up to what's going on outside their personal struggle to exist and are becoming active in order to enact changes to resolve the issues listed at the beginning of this bio.
So, "hope springs eternal ...." To sit back & do nothing is not an option. Therefore, into the fray, with all the resources we can muster ....

Occupy Asheville -- 2nd Week Update.
Occupy Asheville still meets to picket and then hold General Assembly every day except Friday in Pritchard Park directly across the street from the front door of Bank of America, beside Wells Fargo, and within sight of the Merrill Lynch & First Citizens' buildings.
Mon. -- Fri. 5 pm "til- 10 pm to picket, Soapbox, & GA
Sat. & Sun. 1 pm to picket, 3 pm - ? for Soapbox & GA

I'm very impressed with the skills and abilities of the working groups. For example: The media group streams live video feeds. Everything is recorded. The medical group has a young, practicing physician from one of the local hospitals, a nurse, and 2 people with some EMT training plus other worker bees. We have an attorney or two. Everybody is energetic, inspired and committed to seeing this through.
