After 9/11, when at least three soldiers a day were dying in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and there was no protests foing on, I realized that the US is fundamentally different from what I thought of it. I heard of the book "Whatever Happened to Kansas" by Thomas Frank. That book and several others really helped me wake-up. I appreaciate the work of OpedNews and other serious journalists.
