Scientist by vocation, engineer by profession. Was attracted for many years to the "american way of life", but started to see the USA with different eyes when they invaded Panama, Grenada and then all those fraudulent wars and interventions. Not leaning to the Left or to the Right (as the great singer Joan Baez once said during an interview, when asked about her political preferences: "the Right and the Left are exactly like the dog's or the cat's sh*t: which one do you prefer??). Have visited the USA many many times, for business or for pleasure, but recent trips have been less and less pleasant. No longer my favorite country, eeven when I have a lot of very good american friends, but as a country, it sums up as "a lot to be desired". I have a great admiration for the american people as a culture, but not as a nation. Overall, I don't feel the americans deserve the governments they have had, but that can be said of almost any country nowadays.
