I'm a doctoral candidate in anthropology but I'm on leave at the moment. The reason I'm on leave is that I've had extreme harassment/cyberbullying, vandalism, petty theft, car tampering and attacks with what might be described as directed energy weapons. I also have constant hacking with email and phone surveillance and interference. (That is, not all my emails go through and I don't receive all my emails.)
I'm not interested in becoming an activist for this "electronic harassment" cause but I will say that it's difficult to get justice for it. It seems that my harassers would have me "come out" about my problem only to discredit me, but many people are aware that there's been a problem for years. I didn't realize what it was until my overt harassment began.
My regular research focuses on the idea of mixture in national identity, religion and healing practices, and on South-South globalization practices. My work gives me a lot of joy, being stuck in the "electronic prison" makes me miserable. I sometimes have to speak out about topics related to my harassment but I much rather speak about the research that I do. I'm not going to solve the world's problems, but I can clear up some things in the area of research that I've been involved in.
