Philip Krumm studied with Raymond Moses and Frank Sturchio at St. Mary's University and completed his graduate studies with Ross Lee Finney at the University of Michigan. He also composed with Karlheinz Stockhausen at U.C. Davis. He presented new music festivals at the McNay Art Institute with "Blue" Gene Tyranny in late the '50s and early '60s. He traveled with ONCE Group, appeared with Yoko Ono, George Brecht, and Terry Jennings at Carnegie Hall. He tours with Jerry Hunt, including to Roger Shattuck's Pataphysics Festival in Austin, TX. He was the host for ten years of the radio show Musica Nova on Texas Public Radio and has owned the Clipper Ship Book Store in San Antonio, TX, since 1982.
