Deregulation of GM Corn for Ethanol ... A Bad Idea Just Got Worse The USDA recently deregulated Genetically Modified Corn for the production of ethanol. Growing food for fuel production is bad idea made possible by government subsidies. This bad idea was recently made much worse when the USDA deregulated Genetically Modified corn for the production of ethanol. By disregarding safety concerns, the USDA has opened the door for unimagined consequences.

Genetically Modified Organism (GMO's) and the World's Food Supply Science has come a long way. Companies are now genetically altering our food by taking DNA from one organism (like a fish) and inserting it into another organism (a tomato). They call this a Genetically Modified Organism. They are also creating Genetically Modified Seeds in a laboratory. There are many questions as to the safety of the food produced and the possible irreversible damage that might be done to nature.
