Hi, I'm Greg Boyer, trombonist & horn arranger with Prince's NPG Band. I started my professional music career on tenor sax at the age of fifteen. I switched to trombone during my freshman year at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Shortly after my third semester, I auditioned for, and joined Parliament/Funkadelic (a.k.a. George Clinton & the P-Funk All Stars), where I was a trombonist and horn arranger (with the P-Funk Horns) for nineteen years. After retiring from the group, in 1998 I was asked to play with legendary saxophonist Maceo Parker. Hi, I'm Greg Boyer, trombonist & horn arranger with Prince's NPG Band.
