I am presently Professor of University Studies at Hofstra University, where I teach courses in applied ethics and East Africa in a globalizing world.
My wife and I were Peace Corps volunteers in Kenya in the mid-1970s and I have published two novels and a collection of poems about Kenya. My wife's book of Kisii folktales has been in publication in East Africa since 1966.
