The Time to Challenge the Two-Party System What is needed is a national progressive electoral organization. We therefore call for running a progressive candidate of national stature in next year's Presidential election. This campaign is to run to the end regardless of the effect that it may have on Obama's re-election chances, and it will draw together electoral activists who have finally rejected the Democratic Party as a meaningful "lesser-of-evils" alternative.
